You Only Dig Spies (A Funky Space March) was created especially for Melbourne jazz/funk luminary Adam Rudegeair’s show, Black Wax on Melbourne community radio station PBS 106.7 FM.

A reimagining of John Barry’s instrumental piece, Space March (Capsule In Space) from the soundtrack of the 1967 movie You Only Live Twice, the track takes Barry’s original piece and uses it as a launching pad into a world of jazz-funk harmony, phat beats, epic orchestral sounds and funky guitar licks.

You Only Dig Spies (A Funky Space March) had its debut on Black Wax on PBS FM on October 17th 2022, as part of a special ‘Bond Retconned’ segment celebrating the 60th anniversary of the movie Dr. No. Adam Rudegeair described the track as “absolutely superlative”, and “A virtuoso arrangement”.
